Seattle Purses Celebrate the New Year

Decision to be made . . . An evening bag for New Year's Eve, but gold or black with the classic black dress? Which would you choose?

The Winner!

Setting the scene for the dance floor after the Seattle Symphony New Year's Eve performance

Setting the stage as well. Awesome show that was a mix of classical and jazz. Seattle Symphony, you even outdid yourselves! Ludovic Morlot and Jeff Tyzik creative conductors, and the unbelievably talented musicians!

Still very popular - Coach.  Here's a beautiful tote Coach making an appearance on New Year's Eve

Sleek, classic black purse is a lovely accessory on New Year's Eve.  Overwhelmingly, black was the most popular color at the Seattle Symphony New Year's Eve party

And yet, there were delightful splashes of color.  Like this cheery, burgundy leather clutch, as seen on the terrace level

And here and there a show of creativity, like this very furry, hot pink accent to welcome in 2014

Partying purses on the dance floor!  Mostly clutches, some shoulder straps, a few cross bodies, and even that surprising recent development of ladies with no purse at all.

Best wishes for a very happy, purpurseful 2014 to you all!

  1. I'm looking at that final pic and thinking, "That purse reminds me of Mom." Isn't it funny how a certain style of purse will remind you of the lady who carries that style? My mom collected "Roaring Twenties" clothes and purses. She had some handbags like that last photo shows, among her collection.
